NEON State of Mind
“I excel in collaborative projects.”
As a lawyer at NEON since 2023, my journey in the legal field has been shaped by a blend of pragmatism, teamwork, and a keen sense for the essential. Law was not my initial choice. Post-high school, my interests lay in North American Studies. However, destiny had other plans, and I found myself immersed in the world of law, a path I’ve come to embrace wholeheartedly over the past 15 years.
My academic journey took me from the University of Potsdam to FU Berlin, culminating in an LL.M. at the Queen Mary University of London. This diverse educational background, coupled with practical experiences in Berlin and Los Angeles, provided me with a rich tapestry of legal perspectives.
My personal ‘happy place’ lies in the memories of London, Edinburgh, and the Scottish Highlands, where significant chapters of my life unfolded, including meeting my now-wife during our master’s studies. These places hold a special significance, reminding me of where my personal and professional journeys crossed.
At NEON, the work environment is inspiring. The extraordinary team spirit, flat hierarchies, and interesting cases make every day a new adventure. My team appreciates the relaxed yet focused approach I bring, especially under pressure.
Curiosity about different life stories drives me, and I find joy in discussing topics ranging from pop culture to global politics. Professionally, I excel in collaborative projects, especially those involving landmark buildings, blending my personal interests with professional expertise.
