Reflecting on my path to becoming a lawyer, it’s clear that life has a funny way of guiding us to where we’re meant to be. Initially, I ventured into the world of business, earning my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a journey that took me from the quaint town of Bayreuth to the bustling streets of Shanghai. But something was missing – a deeper calling that led me to the study of law at the Universities of Münster and Bayreuth.

Joining NEON in 2023 felt like coming home. This was where my dual passions for law and business could coexist and flourish. I often muse over a parallel universe where I might have pursued a master’s in business instead. Yet, I know deep down that the allure of the legal world, with its intricate language and societal impact, was too compelling to ignore.

My ‘Happy Place’ transcends professional achievements. It’s found in the serene mountains, away from the bustle, where the morning sun glares off the fresh snow as I ski, or in the simple joy of making my son laugh.

At NEON, it’s the people that make the difference. My colleagues are not just legal maestros; they’re down-to-earth, approachable, and genuinely supportive. It’s a place where my curiosity is constantly sparked, be it by a challenging case or a colleague’s unique perspective.

What sets me apart as a lawyer? Perhaps it’s my unconventional journey, starting in the world of business and then pivoting to law. Or maybe it’s the diverse experiences I had during my training, especially at NEON, where the norm is to defy stereotypes. I’ve come to realize that there’s no one way to be a lawyer – and in my unique blend of experiences and passions, I’ve found my own way.
