Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that’s what gets you.
“When I love things, I am all in.“
I am really passionate about advising on M&A transactions. The speed, the complexity, the economics, the need for innovative thinking, the characters, the collaborative teamwork, the smart stakeholders, the negotiations and the ensuing closing of the transaction captivate me. My colleagues sometimes marvel at my capacity for my work – not just the sheer volume, but the genuine joy I get from it. It is just the way I am. When I love things, I am all in.
The same goes for my life beyond work. For example, I am enthusiastic about wine and the craft of winemaking. Many of my holidays or culinary ventures result in deliveries of crate after crate of wine that I tasted along the way. Similarly, my love for classic cars goes beyond just buying one. Instead, I chose my long desired vintage model and had it assembled and modified into my personal dream car. Not to preserve it in the garage, but to race it on mountain passes – I never tire of the combination of testing limits, bedazzling landscape and century-old mechanics working their way through it.
Although initially inclined towards computer science for its mathematic approach, law ultimately captured my interest with its potential to support making commercial visions reality. Advising on complex transactions allows me to blend my analytical skills and commercial understanding with legal expertise. This distinctive approach, coupled with creativity, commitment, foresight, strategic vision and desire to unremittingly advance transactions forward, is my professional characteristic. Each project presents a new opportunity to deep-dive into different industries and forge connections with fascinating people. This is why I have specialized in private equity transactions and multi-seller exits.
