November 2021 | NEON advises SIGNA on the acquisition of the historic Femina-Palast in Berlin

NEON has successfully advised SIGNA on the acquisition of the historic property “Femina-Palast” located at Nürnberger Str. 50-55 in Berlin, City West.

This iconic landmark building from 1931 is one of the finest examples of Neue Sachlichkeit and has over the decades been hosting some of the most legendary  Berlin clubs, including the ballroom Femina-Palast  in the 30ies, the  famous post war jazz club Badewanne in the 40ies and 50ies and the new wave temple Dschungel opening its gates in 1978.

Last used as a hotel, the property is set for a comprehensive renovation and repositioning into a prime location for office, restaurants, and event spaces.

The acquisition has been transacted by way of two separate share deals with the former shareholders IDEAL Versicherung and Estrel Group. NEON has also advised on the financing of the acquisition and project development.
